In many societies, LGBTI+’s face serious human rights abuses because of their sexual orientation and gender identity. This often leaves LGBTI+ people with no choice but to seek asylum elsewhere. On 25th of February 2021, Thursday, QCA will hold and online capacity building training whereby the reasons LGBTI+ are forced to leave their countries, international and regional legal standards applicable to their situation and rules and practices in the northern part of Cyprus will be elaborated. The training will be given by Lawyer Faika Deniz Pasha and Deniz Altıok from Cyprus.
