Call for the May 17 Pride March Organizing Committee Meeting
The world is increasingly being pulled into polarization, war, and violence. In our region and across many parts of the world, demands for peace are being suppressed, while hate speech and discrimination are becoming more visible and systematic every day. In this climate, LGBTI+ people are both being targeted and deprived of their fundamental rights and freedoms.
That is precisely why this year, we are raising our voices from a different place, a stronger place: from peace and from love.
Because we know that: only solidarity can stand against war, and only love can stand against hate.
This year’s theme of the May 17 Pride March is:
“Love at Home, Love in the World”
This theme is not just a slogan; it is an expression of the world we want to live in. It is a call to collectively build a world where borders, identities, bodies, and existences are not under threat, a world where everyone can live equally, freely, and safely.
This year, the Pride March is more than a celebration; it is a space to defend peace, to strengthen the will to live together, and to reassert love as a political statement. It is one of the most powerful ways to stand together against those who seek to divide us and to come side by side against those who try to isolate us.
Now, more than ever, we need to come together, raise our voices, and collectively build this march.
For this reason, we invite you to our first meeting to organize the May 17 Pride March together:
